# How do I connect my MetaTrader 5 (MT5) account to Zess?

Zess connects to MetaTrader 5 using the **Zess AI Bridge EA**.

### Select MetaTrader 5

Go to:

**Config → Exchange Keys**

From the list of supported exchanges, select: **MetaTrader 5 Broker**

### Download the Zess AI Bridge EA

Under **Configure MT5 Connector**, download the **Zess AI Bridge EA**.

This EA allows Zess to communicate directly with your MetaTrader 5 terminal.

### Install the EA in MetaTrader 5

Copy the downloaded EA into your **Experts** folder in MetaTrader 5.

Restart MetaTrader 5 if required.

### Attach the EA to a chart

Open any chart in MetaTrader 5.

Drag the **Zess AI Bridge EA** onto the chart.

The EA must remain attached to the chart while using Zess.

### Configure the EA

Double-click the **hat icon** (or open the EA Properties) to open the **Inputs** section.

Enter the following information:

* **Bridge URL:**\
  <https://app.zess.ai/>
* **Connector ID**
  * Copy the **Connector ID** from the Zess page where you downloaded the EA.
* **Pairing Token**
  * Copy the **Pairing Token** from the same Zess page.

Paste both values into the corresponding fields in the EA.

Click **OK** when finished.

### Enable Algo Trading

In MetaTrader 5, click the **Algo Trading** button so it is enabled (green).

If Algo Trading is disabled, the EA cannot receive trading instructions from Zess.

### Allow Web Requests

In MetaTrader 5, go to:

**Tools → Options → Expert Advisors**

Enable:

✅ **Allow WebRequest for listed URL**

Add the following URL:

<https://app.zess.ai/>

Click **OK** to save your changes.

### Confirm the EA is connected

Look at the **top-right corner** of your chart.

You should see:

**Zess AI Bridge EA**

The **hat icon should be blue**, indicating that the bridge is connected successfully.

If the hat is **not blue**:

* Make sure **Algo Trading** is enabled.
* Confirm the EA is attached to the chart.
* Verify the **Bridge URL** is <https://app.zess.ai/>.
* Check that the **Connector ID** and **Pairing Token** were entered correctly.
* Ensure the WebRequest URL has been added in **Tools → Options → Expert Advisors**.

### You're ready to trade

Once the hat is blue, your MetaTrader 5 account is successfully connected to Zess.

Your AI Trader can now communicate with MT5 and automatically place and manage trades according to your selected strategy.
